TEAM KATA

2

Traditionally, martial artists have performed katas not only as individuals but also as a team. In team kata three martial artists perform the same kata simultaneously, in order to perfect their individual technique while synchronizing their movements. Team katas are judged by: speed, power, technique and synchronization. Continuing in this tradition United Shotokan Karate includes team katas as a part of training and competing. Everyone is welcome to register a team to participate in this event at the USK Karate Championship Open 2009.
